미국 Washington DC에서 출생하여 필립스 엑세터 아카데미를 거쳐 하버드 대학교에서 비교문학을 전공하였습니다. 하버드 로스쿨에서 법률박사학위(Juris Doctor)를 취득후 월스트리트 유수 로펌인 클리어리 고트리브 스틴앤 해밀턴의 뉴욕 및 홍콩 사무소에서 약 8년간 미국변호사로 활동하였습니다.
2010년 한국에서 개최된 G20정상회의 당시 한국측 대표단의 특별법률 자문으로 활약하였으며 이때의 공로로 청와대에서 훈장을 수여받기도 하였습니다.

Sonna Moon has lived and worked globally, including in Washington D.C., Boston, New York, Paris, Hong Kong, Seoul and Los Angeles. Upon graduation from Phillips Exeter Academy, Sonna received her A.B. in Comparative Literature, magna cum laude with highest honors, from Harvard College and her J.D. from Harvard Law School.
Sonna began her career in the New York and Hong Kong offices of international law firm Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP. In 2010, she served as Special Advisor to the Korean government’s Presidential Committee for the G20, for which work she received a medal of honor at the Blue House.
Sonna currently serves as a senior advisor to multinational companies based in the U.S., Korea and Singapore. She is fluent in English, French and Korean. Sonna is a member of the New York bar only.
