서울 출생으로 15세에 도미하여 하버드 대학교에서 미국역사를 전공 하였습니다. 뉴욕주 컬럼비아 법률대학원에 진학하여 법률박사학위(Juris Doctor)를 취득하였습니다.
학업을 마친 후 대한민국 육군법무관으로 육군본부및 국방부에서 병역의 의무를 수행하였습니다.
이후 미국 정상급 로펌인 심슨 대처 앤 바틀렛의 홍콩 사무소및 김앤장 법률사무소에서 미국변호사로 활동하여 풍부한 실무경험을 쌓았습니다.

Jae-Hak Kim was born and raised in Seoul, Korea, before moving to the United States at the age of 15 to attend the Stony Brook School. He received his A.B., cum laude, in History from Harvard College and his J.D. from Columbia Law School. Upon graduation from law school, Jae-Hak served as a judge advocate in the ROK Army.
Previously, Jae-Hak was an associate at Simpson Thacher and Bartlett, LLP and a senior foreign attorney at Kim & Chang.
Jae-Hak is fluent in Korean and English. Jae-Hak is a member of the New York bar only.
